We wanted to give a shout-out to Demetrius and his team at American Dream.

We recently finished up with our Going Out of Business sale that was being managed by Planned Furniture Promotions. That’s how we first met “D” and his team. We were blown away by the number of deliveries they made every single week for the sale.

At the same time, we were running our own trucks to fulfill all of our backlog orders placed prior to the sale. As time rolled along, however, our own delivery staff was dwindling, and we were finding it difficult to manage these deliveries on our own trucks,

D’s team came to the rescue! We were able to deliver all of our backlog orders prior to our closing date. That wouldn’t have been possible without American Dream. The vast majority of the deliveries went off without a hitch, but if there was an issue, D handled it without us having to get involved.

Our only regret is that we didn’t know D when we were IN business :

Marc & Shannon both served in the military and had recently moved to Greensboro from Fayetteville, NC. Shortly after their move, both of them unfortunately got Covid and they ended up having to sell some of their furniture to make ends meet. When they reached out to The Heroes Center, we were overwhelmed with
their request for furniture and really didn’t have the resources to help them.

Within days of receiving their request for assistance, we received your call looking for a Veteran family to donate furniture to as a way to give back and I knew this was our answer!

When you said you had a truckload of furniture to help this family, they were thrilled! They literally had been sleeping on a mattress on the floor and couldn’t believe that someone would be that generous to help them in their time of need.

Yesterday was another win for veterans in our community. Demetrius, the owner of American Dream trucking in High Point, reached out to us at the Heroes Center. He’s a army veteran and small business owner. He wanted to bless a veteran family with a full furnishing of furniture. He knew we would be the conduit to make this happen. We identified a family that could use a little love. Marc is a Marine Jennifer, his wife, served in the Army. We delivered enough brand new furniture to fully furnish their home and showed this family how much we appreciate their service to this great nation. This story will be in the High Point Enterprise tomorrow.

Hello! My name is Laudette Doudna. My husband and have had our 2nd mountain home in Hendersonville North Carolina for 2 1/2 years. During this time, we have had 4 Furnitureland South deliveries.On at least 2 of those occasions, American Dream George Thomasson delivered the furniture. (I asked him for his name.) I’ve been a realtor since 1996 and as a realtor, Iam very aware of just how paramount customer service is to a business. I personally feel that service received,which is both excellent and exceptional, should be shared with management.George always called to let me know a target delivery time and gave me the heads up when he left his last delivery. He and his assistant executed.

Extreme care and were very conscientious when protecting my personal property (hardwood floors, light colored upholstery, etc) and also when assembling new furniture pieces. He was also professional and polite.On one occasion George had to drive in our foggy mountains when icy spots were a concern during the winter when nightfall comes early. He navigated our rather steep street like a pro.Most of the delivery personnel from other freight companies have not attempted to protect my floors, have left multiple dark f inger prints on my walls and do not appear to take great care, in general.

“I am a commercial sprinter van fleet owner with multiple vehicles in my fleet. I heard about the leasing/financing provided by American Dream Leasing and Financing. Once I made the call and advised them the type of vehicle I was interested in. Dee found the vehicle at a local Ford dealership in Raleigh NC.
